A pleasant surprise
During our stay at Heirloom Hotels - The House Of Trade, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent location and interesting architecture of the hotel. The room we stayed in had a modern and clean design, which added to our overall pleasant experience. The large bedroom and comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep. The hotel also provided a helpful booklet with tips on how to operate the TV and use the coffee machine, as well as recommendations on local eating spots and places to see.
While there were a few drawbacks, such as the small bathroom and cramped kitchen area, these did not significantly affect our overall enjoyment of the hotel. The location, silence, and good Wi-Fi made up for any minor inconveniences.

The rooms at The House of Trade are so cozy and inviting, it felt like being in my own little home away from home. The decor was lovely and made me feel instantly at ease. The city views from my room were absolutely stunning. I could spend hours just staring out the window and taking in the beauty of Ghent. Having a kitchen with a dining area in the room was such a convenient perk. It made it easy for me to prepare my own meals and saved me from having to dine out all the time. The free WiFi was a lifesaver for me, as I rely on the internet for so many things. It was fast and reliable, allowing me to stay connected throughout my stay. The bed was the epitome of comfort, with premium bedding that made me never want to get up in the mornings. It was like sleeping on a cloud.
While some people might enjoy it, I personally found the bidet in the bathroom to be unnecessary.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was stunning, with high ceilings, beautiful period details, and large windows overlooking a park. The bed was comfortable, and there was a big table in the dining area and a cozy couch in the living area. The location was perfect, and the staff, especially Caroline, the host, were welcoming and friendly. It felt like staying in a local's home rather than a hotel.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with more attention to detail.
